You can use FoamTree version 3.2.0 or later to browse deeply-nested hierarchies containing 100k+ groups at 100+ levels. To make this possible, FoamTree defers computation and rendering of diagrams on lower levels of the hierarchy until the corresponding groups get open and zoomed enough to be clearly visible.
