Interactive editing of labels

You can combine various elements of FoamTree API to implement interactive editing of group labels.

Click and hold a group to edit its label. Press Esc to exit editing.

What's in the code?

• Using the geometry and viewport properties to correctly position the editor tooltip, also when FoamTree is zoomed/panned.
• Simple animated color changes using groupColorDecorator and window.setTimeout.
• Setting maxLabelSizeForTitleBar to 0 to disable the default title bar.
