Search Results Clustering app
Lingo3G Search Results Clustering app lets novice users cluster search results from public search engines. The app hides most of the Lingo3G tuning options to keep the UI approachable.
Installation and running
If you don't mind the limitations of the on-line version of the app, installation is not required.

Install Lingo3G on your machine.

Start the Lingo3G Document Clustering Server (DCS) application located in the
dcs/
folder of your Lingo3G installation.- On Windows, run the
dcs.cmd
script. - On Linux and Mac, run the
dcs
script.
If the DCS starts successfully, you should see a terminal window with messages similar to the following:

Open http://localhost:8080 in a modern browser.
User interface highlights
To keep the experience simple, the Search Results Clustering app exposes only the most basic features. If you are an advanced user, try Lingo3G Clustering Workbench.
- Search bar

Use the Web and PubMed tabs to choose the data source.
Click the options link to change the search engine options, such as the number of results or the PubMed API key.
- Clusters view

Use the list, treemap and pie-chart tabs to choose cluster presentation.
Use the icons to invoke additional tools for the current view, such as treemap interaction help, exporting of the visualization to JPEG and configuration of the visualization display.
- Search results view

The search results view shows the results belonging to the cluster you select. Each result, apart from the title, content and URL, includes a list of clusters containing the result.
Click the icon in the top right corner of the view to configure the display of results, such as the maximum number of characters per to show for each result.
